You and your yearbook: National Adviser Workshop set for July 28-29

If you’ve recently become Yearbook Adviser at your school, chances are you’re still learning the ropes in making your program and product fun, worthwhile and profitable.

Or perhaps you’re a seasoned Adviser who’s well versed in the basics, and you’re constantly seeking new and innovative ideas that could make your curriculum and yearbook stand out from the crowd.

Either way, your time is at a premium, and you don’t necessarily have hours to spend each day making sure you’re on top of the latest industry trends, products, and techniques. That can leave you at a disadvantage when it comes to creating a yearbook of which you, your students, your school staff and other stakeholders can be unequivocally proud year after year.

So what’s the answer? Maybe one fun, productive event of concentrated learning where you can work and interact with other well-informed yearbook experts from across the country.

Now’s the time to sign up for Lifetouch’s National Adviser Workshop coming up July 28-29, 2020. Our first national workshop in years, we’ve pulled together a team of specialists who can teach you everything you need to know to optimize your yearbook program and create an award-winning product.

What’s our motivation? As always, we see ourselves as more than just a company aiming to sell you yearbook products. Instead, we partner with yearbook advisers across the nation, providing education as needed and collecting feedback about their everyday joys and challenges. Our ultimate goal is to make their roles easier, more productive and more rewarding.

A 2-day event filled with fun, inspiration and skill-building

So what’s on tap for July? Through a series of presentations and learning sessions, the professionals spearheading our workshop will walk attendees through research-based methods for improving their curricula and the yearbooks themselves. On hand for advice and information will be experts in fields ranging from journalism to digital media to photography, showing you how to get the best possible results from your students while encouraging them to learn and grow in the process.

Throughout the event, you’ll also have plenty of opportunities to network with other advisers from across the country, exchanging tips, discussing challenges and maybe even finding solutions to shared problems. That can be invaluable to advisers who are somewhat isolated and/or tasked with managing major school programs on their own.

Some specific areas of focus at the workshop:

  • How to customize your yearbook to establish, leverage and/or promote your unique school culture
  • Real-life tools for boosting student engagement and increasing active participation in your program
  • How to reignite your motivation for creating the best possible annual yearbook
  • Sales techniques you may not have considered
  • Ideas for elevating your yearbook design to the next level of quality and creativity
  • Proven methods for achieving (and teaching) better candid photography
  • How to optimize Lifetouch Yearbook resources to streamline and improve your program and product
