Lifetouch Partners with Stranger Things: The First Shadow

For nearly 90 years, Lifetouch has helped schools capture the moments that matter most—turning Picture Day into lasting memories. Our expertise in school photography, yearbook creation, and portraiture recently made its way to Broadway through our partnership with Stranger Things: The First Shadow.

We brought immersive, 1959-inspired yearbook experiences to cast members, fans, and guests—showing how Lifetouch skills translate from classrooms to Broadway stages.

What We Did

Premiere After-Party (April 2025)
To celebrate the official Broadway premiere, Lifetouch created a one-of-a-kind Picture Day experience at Tavern on the Green in New York City. Guests—including cast members from the Netflix series Stranger Things and the Broadway production—posed for portraits styled to match a vintage 1959 Hawkins High setting. Each image became a reimagined yearbook photo, giving attendees a chance to step into the Class of 1959.

Hawkins High Homecoming Week (November 2025)
During “Hawkins High Homecoming Week” at the Marquis Theatre, we recreated Picture Day for cast members and audience guests. Attendees were encouraged to dress in costume, and our team captured portraits in classic yearbook style—immersing everyone in the world of Hawkins High.

How We Made It Happen

These activations highlight what we do best:

  • Creating authentic, themed photography experiences
  • Transforming spaces into immersive environments
  • Capturing portraits that tell a story

By applying decades of experience in school photography, Picture Day, and yearbook production, we designed and executed events that felt real, immersive, and visually compelling—no matter the setting.

Capturing Stories That Last

At Lifetouch, we know every portrait tells a story. Whether in schools or on Broadway, our team is dedicated to preserving moments, celebrating communities, and creating experiences that guests remember for years to come.

Stay tuned for more ways we’re capturing unforgettable moments with Stranger Things: The First Shadow.
